Here’s what’s in my bag for every shoot — from main coverage to backup, lighting, and post-processing.

Main Body

This is what’s on my hand for 90% of every shoot — reliable, fast, and covers everything from wide group shots to tight portraits.

Sony A7IV — my primary camera for every session.

  • Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 G2 — versatile zoom, covers most ceremony and event coverage.
  • Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 — wide angle for tight venues, group shots, and dramatic angles.
  • 5x batteries — long majlis days mean zero room for “battery habis” moments.

Backup Body

Every wedding day is a one-take event — there’s no “let’s reshoot next week.” That’s why a full second setup is always in the bag, ready to go the moment it’s needed.

Lighting

Terengganu majlis happen anywhere — bright afternoon outdoor, dim indoor dewan, or golden hour by the beach. This setup adapts to all of it, so lighting is never the reason a shot doesn’t work.

  • Godox V1 x2 — round-head flash for natural, soft fill light
  • Godox AD200 Pro II — portable strobe power for outdoor and studio setups
  • Godox AD200 Pro x2 — for off-camera lighting setups, indoor majlis, and low-light venues

Storage

Big Raya sessions or full-day weddings mean thousands of shots in a single day. Enough cards on hand means never having to stop mid-shoot to clear space.

  • 13x memory cards — never running out of space mid-shoot, especially on multi-session Raya or wedding days
  • 1x CFexpress card — for high-speed burst shooting and video

Post-Processing

Shooting is only half the job — editing hundreds (sometimes thousands) of RAW photos per booking needs serious processing power, so galleries get delivered fast without cutting corners on quality.

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB — speeds up rendering and AI-based editing tools
  • RAM: 64GB DDR4 — multiple large RAW galleries open at once, no lag

  • CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Z63 — keeps everything running cool during long editing sessions, especially after big Raya or wedding seasons
  • Storage: NVMe SSD 1TB x2 + SSD/NVMe 256GB + HDD 2TB + HDD 4TB + HDD 6TB — fast drives for active projects, larger drives for archive
  • Monitor: ASUS ProArt PA27AC — 27″, QHD/2K resolution (colour-accurate for consistent edits)
  • Hagibis adapter — extra connectivity for fast card offloading and multi-device setup

MacBook Pro M4 — for editing on the go, between shoots or when I’m not at the studio.
